Academic arrogance

Educational institutions, particularly those considered prestigious, may be susceptible to exploitation of their highly regarded names. In the light of governmental financial assistance, some institutions may rely on the sanctity of their academic reputations to overestimate the costs of already extravagant expenditures. Such arrogance may also be the basis for increasing the cost of tuition.
