Wrong questioning (Yoga)

  • Doubt

Description

Such questioning is based on identification with the illusory mental body and leads to doubting the existence of eternal truths and searching for solutions to problems by means of the transitory and ephemeral. It is contrasted with intelligent enquiry, freed from all externally imposed dogma, which may lead to perception of the truth.

Context

One of the nine obstacles to soul cognition enumerated by Patanjali.
