Way of the vajra masters (Buddhism, Tibetan)

This is the path of liberation appropriate to those following the way of skilful wisdom, the way of clarity, the "masculine" way, whose symbol is the indestructible diamond, the dagger or the thunderbolt. Followers of this way arrive at an enlightened awareness of the emptiness of reality – sunyata – as identical with phenomenal existence. This way is contrasted with the way of the masters of wisdom – vidyahara – the "feminine" way of intuitive wisdom.

One of the two ways leading to Buddhahood and ultimate consciousness, according to Tibetan Gelugpa Buddhism.
