Unveiled being (ICA)

Description

This is experienced when one sees one's self in a mirror seemingly for the first time; when one experiences one's self doing something one simply can't believe one is doing. This revealing of a man to himself is described in John Fowles' novel "The Magus".

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of articulating the word about life (the life of knowing) the first formal aspect is one's experience of being a solitary individual or of being a self. At the first phenomenological level, this occurs when a person sees through the events of everyday life and his own subjectivity to discern existence clearly.
