Unexplainable thereness (ICA)

Description

This is the sense of suddenly and quite arbitrarily just having an existence, as though one simply appeared without one's prior consent or consideration; as when one has a close encounter with death. It is like running into a totally alien people for the first time and experiencing the wonder of one's own existence.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of standing present to the mystery of being in life (the life of contemplation) the fourth formal aspect is the experience of dreadful in-myself-ness or of depth. At the first phenomenological level this occurs when a person encounters a completely mysterious event.
