Tso-wang (Taoism)
Description
Literally "sitting with no thoughts", this state has been compared with transcendental consciousness. It arises in a system of Taoist meditation at a very high level in practice; and is based not on any object of meditation but on freeing the mind from all constraints. No longer subject to wishes or desires, when action is encompassed in non-action - [wu wei]
, the practitioner becomes one with the Tao.
