Transfigured man (ICA)

Description

This is experienced as serving as a beacon for other people on what life is about; when one's life reveals depths of existence beyond what one thought one had; when one's life is in fact itself a symbol of life. It may be compared to Charlie Chaplin's roles, which expressed not only the particular dramas in which they were played, but have been perceived as symbolic of the broader human life crisis in this century.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of being the presence of transcendence (the life of chastity) the second formal aspect is having inclusive collegiality with symbols of profound living, in which one develops the ability to see through symbols to their depth significance. At the fourth phenomenological level, this occurs when one perceives the void at the centre of existence, and continues to live out the absurdity.
