Steps to spiritual knowledge (Hinduism)
Description
The vedanta indicates three stages in the progress towards spiritual knowledge. These are: (i) sravana – hearing or reading the scriptures; (ii) manana – reflection on the truth of what one has heard or read; and (iii) nididhyasana – realization of the truth through meditation.
