Spontaneous religious experience

Description

An intense, individual flash of illumination which is overwhelmingly rapturous and unmistakenly enlightening. It is not confined to time, place, person or thing, and has been shown to happen to numbers of people. The experience seems to be no respecter of persons and may arise in someone who might be judged as unworthy and whose moral life is definitely not beyond reproach.
