Spiritual love (Christianity)

The opposite of spiritual envy, which sees everything from the personal self point-of-view, desiring to be praised above all others and angry at their success, spiritual love rejoices in the truth. The only envy here is sadness at not possessing other people's goodness, because there is delight in their possessing goodness. The individual is happy that others surpass him in serving God if he himself has failed.
