Soul force

  • Satyagraha

Description

According to Gandhi, soul force, or the use of the permanent and superior nature of the soul, is infinitely superior to physical force when attempting to redress a wrong. The Sanskrit term literally implies insistence on truth. Use of soul force requires great courage and the recognition of the existence of the soul as separate from and superior to the body, together with the ability to count the body as nothing in comparison with the soul.
