Shamanism

In shamanistic rituals the neophyte becomes a "soft man being", namely an androgyne whose essential mission is to be an intermediary between the cosmological planes of earth and sky. The effort to incorporate this paradox involves the shaman in the constant practice of transformation, as if moving from one point of view to another provides the experimental ground of understanding, of wisdom, of true perspective.
