Shakti is understood as the underlying, undifferentiated creative principle comprising the totality of all past, present and future phenomena in every part and level of creation. An awareness of the evolutionary nature of creation is said to be essential for an understanding of the human position and of the diversity, individuality and changeable nature of things.
