Sexual experience

Initial experiences of sex are pleasurable enough to keep the experiencer in a state of flow for weeks at a time as new challenges are faced. To maintain the flow experience of sex with the same partner, however, the relationship must become more complex, the partners must invest attention in each other and discover new potentialities both in each other and in themselves. They need to know the thoughts, feelings and dreams in their partner's mind. Sex needs to be taken control of and cultivated in the direction of greater complexity.
