Self control

  • Self harmony

Description

Under the harmony of self control the mind remains of fixed intent, not swayed by selfish desire, lust or pleasure. Such control of the will leads to responsible action in which the individual is free and understands himself. Self-control, and its associated responsible but free and self-understanding activity, is contrasted with neurotic abstention, as for example abstinence arising from fear or hatred of the sexual impulse.
