Secular humanism
Description
As a secular alternative to religion, the term secular humanism generally covers any philosophy which rejects religious beliefs and instead defends the intrinsic dignity and ideals of human nature in its own right. Man is the centre of the intellectual universe and the interpretation of experience is the primary aim of philosophy which is, in itself, capable of carrying out such interpretation. There is no transcendent truth or reality - what is truth and reality for man is attainable by man and sufficient for man.
