Samadhi parinama (Yoga)
Description
Starting with the practice of [dharana]
and continuing until a state of [ekagrata]
or single pointed attention is reached, the tendency for distractions to occur in consciousness gradually disappears. First to go are the objects of normal attention, being replaced by the chosen object of samadhi, then this is gradually stripped of all its inessentials until it shines in the mind of itself.
