Immersion in intensified rhythmic input, both very loud music and visual input, force the brain's electrical patterns in line with the input. Subjective experience and motor activity are of euphoric excitement while cognitively one is asleep. Similar effects are induced in tribal rituals, in revivalist meetings, in chanting at political rallies. The state can be described as one of excited subservience.
