Release from the matrix (Taoism)

Description

This is the Taoist equivalent of nirvana, when the matrix of mundanity is shed. One has a body "outside the body". Vitality is refined into energy, energy into spirit, spirit into emptiness and then the fundamental is embraced and one returns to openness, which is the same as the Buddhist ultimate emptiness.
