Programmed learning

Description

Although there is no generally agreed definition of the exact nature of programmed learning, methods of teaching usually considered under this heading generally require the existence of feedback on the student's progress at each step, so that the teacher can alter instruction to fit each individual's pace. The process depends on computer technology and the dividing of the instruction into small, discrete steps which favour such a system and optimize control of the acquiring of knowledge by the student.
