Patience

Description

Mental discipline which creates indifference to pleasure or pain, and may be considered apathetic, is contrasted with patient acceptance of misfortune which nonetheless maintains hope in the ultimate good. This submission which still cares is said to be particularly characteristic of the Christian. Suffering with patience leads to perfection.
