Paths of wisdom (Judaism)

The Jewish Kabbalah draws on the Biblical sapiental tradition wherein God's wisdom is the instrument of creation. The theosophic mystics among mediaeval Jewry sought to trace the paths of consciousness or wisdom through the universe, upwards and downwards, from God to man. The system of 32 paths can be considered as a concise indication of stages in the mystical ascent in the four worlds. There are ten emanation-realms of the sephiroth, through whose qualities and virtues Wisdom creates the universe.
