Passive way of faith

Description

Here the creature is taken out of his own capacity, receiving an infinite capacity in God. Thus the soul loses the human so it can lose itself in the divine which, mystically, becomes its being and subsistence. Having lost its old life it receives a new life in God, no longer living and working of itself but God lives, acts and operates in it. It possesses nothing but is possessed. It is indifferent to all, for all is equally God. The insensibility is not that of death and decay but that of an elevation above all sentiments, tastes, views and opinions.
