Non-desire (Christianity)

Description

On reaching the state of sanctification called holy indifference, the holy soul ceases to desire anything outside the will of God. In this state, it may desire everything which relates to correcting its imperfections and weaknesses, to its persevering in its religious state and to its ultimate salvation. It may even desire temporal good and material things if it has reason to believe these are in line with God's desires. It also desires fulfilment of God's will in all respects, known and unknown. Non-desire refers only to not desiring anything out of God.
