Mystical detachment (Sufism)

Description

In this state there is total detachment from anything but God. This includes outward detachment from what arises as an accident of this world and inward detachment so that no compensation is sought for what has been foresworn outwardly. All activity is up to God with no thought for one's self, respect for others or regard for compensation. Only then is unification with God possible.
