Joy (Hinduism)

Manifesting as mental enjoyment, this emotion has the characteristic of experiencing a desirable object, with the function of exploiting the desirable object in some way. It is the exalting of the mind arising from union with a beloved person or attainment of a desired object, or from the coming of prosperity or the successful accomplishment of an endeavour leading to a desired end. The person's face is bright, he or she may weep.
