Jesus as saviour

The Hebrew name Joshua or Jesus implies that Yahweh is salvation, through God's mercy. In that the name Yahweh itself implies "I am", salvation is through the one self, the subject of which the whole creation is object. Again, the word saviour implies redeemer, redemption of the world by the merciful act of its creator.
