Interactive discipline
Description
Such discipline consists of the internal authority of the seeker centering in an attentive wholeness on the external, natural world with its traditions and ethos. The interactive experience allows the seeker to experience a oneness with the rhythmic flow of life; this is particularly clear in aesthetic experience, the musician at one with his instrument, the sculptor with a piece of marble, and is exemplified in the Japanese haiku tradition - short poems composed in moments of sublime understanding of the world.
