Instinct
Description
A form of unconscious awareness not arising through experience and which is diminished by learning from experience, discovering connections and drawing conclusions. Instinctive behaviour is an automatic response to a given stimulation or situation, without any mental realization of the situation or the response to it. Behaviour is spontaneous rather than the result of deliberate mental processes.
