Insight-provoking tales

Meaningful stories and fables can be used to reach knowledge through the deep intuition which such stories reveal in the hearer. In Sufi teaching, the hearer is asked to choose stories which particularly appeal to him and to turn them over in his mind; this can effect a breakthrough into higher wisdom.
