Inflation

There is either a feeling of immense power or of worthlessness, in either case the disorientation being due to identification with the collective psyche as consciousness is extended or invaded by unconscious archetypal contents and discrimination is lost. The ego is inflated until it may identify with the self so that there is no distinction between the individual person and the image of God and individuation becomes impossible.
