Free self-inquiry meditation
Description
As a method of meditation, free self-inquiry considers the nature of the self in a series of questions on the theme "who am I". Identification of "I" with the body is followed by deeper insight as the consciousness of "I" dissociates itself from the body, the senses, the mind, the intellect, the spirit, until there is pure unobjective consciousness. Meditation on "Who am I" may thus lead to cosmic or super consciousness where the subject-object relationship no longer exists.
