Flight from the world
Description
Although earthly values may be positive, practical expression of one's readiness to accept self-communication of God's love may require one to flee from them in preparation for sharing the death which is the fate of the world and as an expression of the will to grace (given by God) beyond earthly sense and meaning. In a broader sense, flight from the world implies conscious and positive withdrawal from all who have closed themselves to God, and from the relationships they have created where these imply temptation to further sinful rejection of God, with the intention of saving the world.
