Description
This refers to the proficiency of the aggregate of consciousness. The characteristic is healthiness of the citta and freedom from illness, the function is to crush its unhealthiness. It is manifest as absence of disability and freedom from evil. Consciousness is the proximate cause. It is the opponent of corruptions like faithlessness or diffidence causing illness or unhealthiness in the citta. Fitness of mental body and fitness of consciousness are considered together.
Context
One of the formations aggregate (mental coefficients) of Hinayana Buddhism, being listed among the constant states which appear in their true nature, and as profitable primary (always present in any profitable or profitable-resultant consciousness).
