Description
All living beings have an immortal soul - [jiva]
- which is not perceived by the senses but manifests in consciousness. Liberated or pure souls inhabit the [siddha-loka]
, permanent and unchanging. Other souls are embodied and subject to the cycle of birth, death and rebirth. Souls are uncreated, self-existent, having no beginning and no end.
