Emptiness of things (Buddhism)

  • Fa-k'ung (Ch'an)

Context

Tsung-mi demonstrated that, in the stages of phenomenal evolution he described, each step on the process of delusion can be counteracted by a step in the process of enlightenment. In this the sixth step, realization that every thing is devoid of self-nature counteracts attachment to things, the sixth stage of delusion.
