Ecumenicism (Christianity)
Description
Although originally referring to the whole of the inhabited world or mankind as a whole, ecumenicism is generally used in the sense of the undivided Christian Church. The [Ecumenical Movement]
refers to present day attempts to unite the church through such organizations as the [World Council of Churches (WCC)]
; or to informal and radical Christian witness and service not related to specific denominations.
