Divine captive (ICA)

Description

This is being possessed by the mystery of life, enraptured beyond ability to or interest in escaping; when one finds one's self. It may be compared to Captain Ahab in "Moby Dick", when he is irresistibly drawn to follow the white whale.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of being the presence of transcendence (the life of chastity) the fourth formal aspect is spiritual creativity, in which one's entire being is devoted to guarding the spirit dimension of existence. At the first phenomenological level this occurs when one vision-sees new possibilities for existence.
