Culture

Description

In human development terms, culture may be defined as that which holds the individuals in a community together, accentuating what they have in common and creating continuity from the heritage of the past through the language, lifestyle, artistic expression of the present to the handing on of this heritage to future generations. It is the similarities within a culture which form the differences between cultures and enrich human experience, although these differences can become the cause of strife. Cultural differences are a manifestation of the plurality of creation although, in theological terms, these differences are transcended in the creator of all cultures.
