Cultural personality

Description

If personality is taken to refer to the behaviour and way of thinking and feeling of the individual, then the life-style, ideas and values prevalent in a particular society will affect the personality of an individual inhabiting that society. It has been said (Ruth Benedict) that by the internalization of the same cultural ethos then individuals will come to share some of the same basic psychological structures.
