Crazy-monkey ego consciousness (Hinduism)

The consciousness of the lower mind, erratic and clever-animal-like, is a projection on the screen of manas (lower mind). It is composed of the perceptions of sense data and of memory, personalized as the experience of an ego by the action of ahamkara (I-am-this-ness).
