Conceptual cognition (Buddhism, Tibetan)

Description

This way of knowing takes metaphysical entities as its appearing objects. It is contrasted with [bare perception]

of objective entities. Metaphysical entities are permanent, not products of cause or circumstance and with no ability to produce an effect. They cannot be said to exist objectively but can be known through conceptual cognition through a mental label - clear appearance of a metaphysical entity to consciousness is known through conceptual cognition.

Context

One of the valid ways of knowing of Tibetan Buddhism.
