Compassion

Compassion is one of the emotions or attitudes with an emotional component, that are other-oriented. It is imaginatively dwelling on the condition of the other person, having an active regard for the welfare of the other, viewing him as a fellow human being, responding with an emotion of concern and acting in a rational and effective way to the other person's benefit.
