Ceto-samadhi (Buddhism)
Description
In this state, the practitioner experienced mental concentration as a result of ardour, exertion, application, effort and right attention. There are supernatural results, for example he is able to recall past existences. But, in that this leads to the false conclusion that the self and the world are either eternal or subject to total annihilation, the experience is imperfect and leads to illusory conceptions.
