Being myself (ICA)

Description

This is experienced as being both at one with one's self, and unable to escape from one's self; when one chooses to be the human one really is. It may be compared to Mountain Rivera in the film "Requiem for a Heavyweight", when he comes to terms with the fact that his only choice is to become a wrestler.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode, in the arena of knowing and doing intensified in one's life (life of being), the fourth formal aspect is the experience of transparent presence or of effulgence. At the first phenomenological level this occurs when a person experiences discontinuity at the centre of his life.
