Angelic awareness - Raphael

This mode of awareness may be considered the over-seeing eye of the inner nature that controls and sustains the autonomy of the psyche by an integrative and regenerative presence. Raphael has been represented as the great healing angel, and in post-biblical religion he is among the six or seven angels who most notably represent the deep structure of the psyche. Raphael is represented as bringing to those who are wise the great magical seal by which all the impulses of the lower nature may be subdued; and he is also depicted as the guardian of the Tree of Life.
