Angelic awareness - Logos
- Iesu
- Messiah
Description
This mode of awareness is of the Word, the reality said to lie behind forms and which creates them by its own super-sensible sound, motions or breaths. In terms of consciousness it is represented by the pulsations of mentation: the mathematically expressible rhythms that evoke a personal cosmos out of an undifferentiated mental chaos. The Logos (word) was considered an angel by Philo, and by the rabbis as that angelic reality which is portrayed in the personification of Metatron. Mediaeval Kabbalists have also seen the Logos behind Michael, and have conceived that the Messiah also represents the Angel of the Logos. Early Christianity viewed the name [Iesu]
as indicating an angelic nature and assigned this to the prince of all the angelic orders. Modern Catholicism sees the mother of Iesu, [Marianne]
, as queen of angels who in the Kabbalah is the Shekinah.
