Al-Majid (Sufism) [1]
Description
The believer is aware of Allah as the glorious, the noble, both the giver of good character and conduct which enables the carrying out of good deeds, and the rewarder of such deeds, who nevertheless hides the errors of His people and forgives their sins. Remembering how, in His glory, He accepts excuses, protects rights, relieves difficulty, His servants should love, obey and fear Him, fearing to lose his favour.
Context
A mode of mystical awareness in the Sufi tradition associated with the sixty-fifth of the ninety-nine names of Allah.
