Absorption into nothingness (ICA)

Description

This is experienced as union with the void at the centre of being; when a person has surrendered everything, even the need to surrender. It may be compared to the prophet Elijah not dying but going directly to heaven, or to the Buddha experiencing Nirvana.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of knowing and doing intensified in one's life (life of being) the first formal aspect is the experience of transparent selfhood or the experience of noughtness. At the fourth phenomenological level this occurs when a person becomes one with the eternal.
