Theory

1. A true theory; the formulation of cognitive or practical methods to obtain a result: certitude in thought, or certain (sure, invariant) outcomes in practice and action.

2. A mental representation (proven or unproven, true or false) which gives an account of causality or instrumentality for some phenomena.

3. An opinion or belief.
